Electrifying Performance

The new BMW 5 series includes several different “firsts” for the brand. Specifically, this is the first year the 5 Series is available as fully electric. Meet the first BMW EV:

Granted, every EV model released can be touted as a cutting edge model with the latest technology. However, the new 5 Series EV takes this to another level. It’s the first vehicle to offer Hands-free driving up to 85 MPH thanks to Highway Assistant and the world’s first Active Lane Change powered by your eyes. Yes, you read that correctly.

Additional Trim Levels

You’ll find the new BMW 5 Series comes in a number of trim levels:

• BMW 530i: Starting at $58,895
• BMW 530i xDrive: Starting at $61,195
• BMW 540i xDrive: Starting at $65,895

The new 5 Series includes two engine options to choose from. The 530i version will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, yielding 255 horsepower. This model comes with a choice between RWD or AWD. Alternatively, the 540i comes with standard AWD and sports a monstrous turbocharged inline 6-Cylinder motor. Regardless of which package you select, both receive assistance from a 48-volt hybrid system, dishing out additional fuel efficiency and ensuring optimal performance levels. The 0-60 time for the 540i is an impressive 4.5 seconds, delivering plenty of acceleration when you need it most.

Optional Packages

If you think you’d enjoy heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats – or a heated steering wheel and a head-up display, they’re both available with the with the Luxury Seating and Executive Packages, respectively.
