Why Use Conventional Oil.

Conventional oil refers to “regular oil,” which is what most cars have been using for more than 100 years. It is crude oil out of the ground with just a few modifications to make it suitable for automobile engines. While synthetic oil lasts longer, it also costs more, so that is one issue to consider. If you change your oil regularly and don’t drive your car on a lot of long trips, you will likely do just fine with regular conventional oil. Some older cars are better off with conventional oil as well. Neither kind of oil will hurt your car and you can go back and forth too if you wish.

Importance of Regular Oil Changes.

The oil keeps your engine lubricated so metal will not rub against metal. Lubrication is key to keeping an internal combustion engine operating smoothly. Any oil will wear down eventually and not work as well. When this happens the engine has to work harder, and it will not last as long as it would have with regular oil changes. If the oil is neglected long enough it can turn to sludge and stop lubricating. If that were to happen your engine would have to be replaced. Spending a little on oil changes now will save you a lot of money in the long run in avoiding costly repairs in the future.
